Hello, I’m Julia Wolman, a Registered Nutritionist based in London, but I work with people from all over the UK.
I'm passionate about healthy eating and I especially love helping busy parents and families feel confident about making healthy choices. I do this through my interactive workshops, 1-2-1 sessions and consultancy services.
As a mum to two very busy (now not so little) boys, when it comes to weaning, fussy eating and keeping my own nutrition on track, I’ve been there - and I understand the challenges inside out!
I have twenty years’ experience in the nutrition field, including:
More than five years with two inner city London NHS Trusts running healthy eating projects for families and training staff at schools, nurseries and Children’s Centres in nutrition.
Co-developing and delivering an obesity prevention programme for two-to-four-year-olds and their families (MEND 2-4s) which is now running across London and internationally.
Providing one-to-one and group support to hundreds of parents around the UK.
Contributing to leading magazines including Practical Parenting and Nursery World.
Being one of the first Registered Nutrition Professionals to work with the new Early Years Nutrition Partnership.
I’m also proud to be a member of two trusted professional bodies:
- The Association for Nutrition, which holds the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists. (For information about what it means to be a Registered Nutritionist please visit http://www.associationfornutrition.org/).
The professional freelance nutritionists’ network SENSE.
I studied for a BSc (Hons) in Applied Human Nutrition at Leeds Metropolitan University, followed by Psychology and Health at MSc level at City University in London.
